Hi JNL, interesting you mentioned that. It is just becoming winter here in Melbourne, and I can definitely notice the difference in power already, and even slight increase in responsiveness in the engine now that it is colder. It indicates to me ,that even a stock car, in a warmer climate, will get more consistent performance with a bigger intercooler. Maybe these multiairs run hot.
That´s for sure, my multiair MiTo had a bigger turbo lag in the summer (Germany) with the stock intercooler than with the upgraded one (I have one from Forge).

Congratulations on the purchase, I don't know about oz cars but the mirrors on mine are huge, if someone knocked it off I wouldn't care, I would also love to know how an engine mount cures turbo lag, never heard of this, if you remap it will drive nice, good luck
So after some research, I found out that all the Euro specced Giulietta's come with an "aspherical" glass piece for their side mirror. After looking at the side mirror of my Porsche, and pictures of my old BMW M235i, I noticed that all the side mirrors had a slightly curved shape to the glass. The glass in the oz Giulietta is flat. No wonder I can only see one lane with my side mirrors.

Can you tell me if your (Euro) side mirrors have the small line on the edge? I wonder if that indicates "aspherical". My mirrors are heated and electric folding, but it doesn't have the line. Please see pic of a side mirror from the UK

Wow. I don’t even have the sport suspension, just the rock stock TCT 170. No Brembos, 17 inch wheels. It feels pretty firm to me and in no way floaty! Mind you, it’s only got 20K on the odometer…

I find it planted and supple. It’s eats dodgy country back roads at warp speed and I’m struggling to see how firmer suspension would be better!
My 2013 is the Sportiva 1.4 MA 170 TCT with all the QV suspension, wheels, brakes etc and I’m with you on the handling Haakon. It’s not in the least floaty or rolly poly and is way more composed on bumpy and undulating surfaces than my GT which had KW V2s and an Autodelta strut brace. There is also no turbo lag in Dynamic, which is where mine stays permanently. Everything sharpens up in D. If the OP is driving in N then it will be softer and laggy by comparison, which it is meant to be for economy. Mine has only done 93,000km. My son recently bought a 2012 QV with 58,000km on it and it feels exactly the same as mine. The QV suspension is lower than the standard cars, so I’m not sure what the story is. My mirrors have the line and are heated and electrically folding and it is an Australian car. I totally disagree with the TCT being crap. I love it.

UPDATE: Sorry for the delays in posting. There's been lot's of delays in receiving my parts.

ECU Tune: Still waiting for the Tuner to have an appointment available to do a custom remap.

KW Suspension: Still waiting on my KW 1 coilovers to arrive.

Side Mirrors: Finally sorted out my side mirror visibility issue. It turns out the 85 year old chap that I bought it from, had stuck on a convex mirror and turned it back to front, whereby everything looked magnified by 3 times. I'm guessing this was due to his poor eyesight. I've replaced the side mirror glass with the original, and the visibility is now amazing, my side mirrors feel like a bus!

Dash Cams: I had Blackvue dash cameras installed front and rear.

Infotainment system: I decided to scrap the idea of the Alpine (Giulietta compatible) Unit. Instead, I had someone install the Sony XAV 5500 with a rear view camera + Apple Car Play. The Sony unit has a much faster responding touch screen than the Alpine Unit, and I still have Steering wheel functionality. The only function I have lost, is the ability to change my rain wiper sensitivity, time and date.

Exhaust: I decided I want a little more exhaust noise and burble, but not loud enough to feel obnoxious. So I have kept the mid-silencer stock, and have purchased a Vibrant 2.5 inch high flow silencer which will replace my stock rear muffler. Muffler cost $100 on Amazon, and labour will cost $250 (stainless steel piping) single exit.

I'll post a before and after video next week when the exhaust is done.

You will always get a bit of a lag effect on a 1.4 MA

Due to being indirect injection it runs a relatively low compression ratio, so until the turbo reaches its boost threshold it will always seem a bit gutless.

Think of it as a regular 1.4 but with less torque until the turbo comes in and you get the idea.

Remapping it will make the boost come in stronger which may make the effect seem even worse.

Our diesel at least manages to combine a hard crashy ride with slightly soggy and numb handling. A decent set of springs and dampers would improve it a lot. The car actually rode far better on Eibach pro kit springs coupled with Bilstein B4 dampers.
You get less of a lag getting off the line with the later 150 than the 170 as in less feathering of the clutch on the initial bite. I know as I had the 170 then the 150 which was much more drivable.

I've gotten used to the turbo lag now, and can kind of drive anticipating the delay, however, I do look forward to having my "N" mode feel like my "D" mode and my "D mode" being upgrade to "D +"

The damage is already done now you’ve drilled holes in your car, but that reverse camera is awful. You should have bought one of these

The hole was already pre-existing. There was already a really crappy reverse camera installed when I bought it. Yeah the one I bought, the grid lines don't move with the car, which kinda sucks.
