I've been invited to introduce myself, so being a polite sort of guy I'll do so.

Firstly, I confess to owning a Rover, a "bubble" shape 200. Now don't mock - they are much better cars than many people realise and are by no means as troublesome or frightening to own as you might think. Bit like Alfas, really....

But now, the time is near, the time to face the final curtain etc etc etc. Yes, I've enjoyed the Rover but it really is time to find a replacement. I've been struggling with this for ages, as I don't want some soul-less Eurobox. I've driven all the obvious stuff and come away distinctly underwhelmed. I really want something that offers a different driving experience to my present car, and a car that will put a smile on my face by both driving it and looking at it. So... I've come to the conclusion that a nice 156 would fit the bill. Sod the potential problems (if there are any), I think I've earned the right to a decent motor.

Personal stuff - 40 something, living in leafy Bucks and earning a crust by being a Government lackey.
