Hi, l'm new here so hello to all.
I have recently purchased a 147 Lusso on a 2002 plate and the car is very jumpy when first starting, almost like its cold? but it isent, once i've gone a few hundred yards the car is ok its just when its been sitting unused for a while, any suggestions?

Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.

Regards
Rob

get fault codes read, probably a lambda sensor fault. they dont always throw up a light.

the question is whether its a CF2 or CF3 engine, probs CF3 but I'm not as hot on 147s as I am 156s so cant say for definate given only year.

going with CF3 though you're got several lambdas to choose from. a session on a computer will either show you which is slow or fault will show which is dead.

+1 for fault codes

as for lambda .....when engine is cold lambda is open loop till its to temperature ....so engine reads off MAF till it does ......... does car rev freely to red line?
