As it was elder child's birthday earlier in the week, I promised to give her car a proper going over this weekend. As younger child will be taking over the car later in the year I roped him in too.

First job was a wash with AG shampoo. This was a present and is no better than the crap I buy in Home Bargains.

Next I set Tom to work with the clay mitt whilst I finished buffing the newly repaired rear corner. From there I started doing the whole car with Megs compound whilst Tom attacked the cloudy headlights with the cheapo polishing pad in the drill. This quickly disintegrated, the moral of which is not buy Chinese tat from eBay.

Have gone over the whole car with compound, we went over it with AG SRP (chosen because there were two of us and I had two bottles) and finished off with Poorboys wax. Poorboys is my new supplier of choice.

Plastics were done with linseed oil, tyres with AG gel. Job done.

This weekend was spent giving the Spider the works on Saturday and showing it off on Sunday at a car show...

Hosed down, citrus pre-wash applied followed by snow foam
Wheels cleaned with EZ Foaming Wheel cleaner (not much ‘foaming’ but it shifted the dirt), decontaminated with fallout remover and polished with wheel wax. AG tyre dressing applied.
Bodywork hosed down and 2 bucket washed, clayed, rinsed and dried.
DA polisher used to apply Meg’s ultimate and AG SRP followed by a coat of Dodo Juice Diamond White (not to be confused with the 8% ABV tart fuel popular in the late 80s).
Glass cleaned and RainX applied on the outside and RainX Anti-Fog inside.
Carpets & mats hoovered, dash cleaned and leather cleaned with Dodo Juice Supernatural.
Hood given a once over with one of them sticky roller things that women use to get fluff off their clothes.
AG QD used at the show.

I bought myself a DAS6Pro last week and all meguiares products. Used 205 to de-swirl both cars with a green flexi-pad followed by chemical guys jet seal applied with the da and blue flexi pad.

I need to do it again with some compound as not all defects were removed, but it achieved what i wanted for the Brera S 11th year anniversary
