Morning all,
I have noticed the drone of the radiator fans quite a bit recently, in fact they seem to be running at full speed almost all of the time. Don't think it's a relay issue as when stone cold they don't immediately come on.
Temperature is generally bang on 90 degrees but if cruising at 60 in 6th can dip slightly under. Never ever goes above 90 even in warn weather.
Any ideas?
Had presumed thermostat but these seem to keep the temp well below 90 when they start to go (from reading other posts in the forum).
Only had timing belt replaced along with water pump about 700 miles ago so praying is not that!
Thanks
Chris

The climate control also triggers the rad fans to cool the A/C matrix.

Hi not sure on diesels but might be worth checking the temp sensor and tracing the wiring from the fan back to the fuses and relay and visibly check for damage sounds like a short in the wiring but not 100% on that its possible that someone will come up with a more definitive answer??:)could well be a faulty relay

More often than not I keep climate control off. Will inspect the wiring and try another relay too thanks for suggestions. Any other suggestions welcome!
