My m reg 1.8 twin has started to jerk when pulling away especially when cold.
The problem is like not havng enough choke on a manual choke car.
If i let the car idle for a few minutes before moving off the car is fine.
I have replaced the lambda which has improved the running generally. But this problem remains.
Is it the coolent temp sensor & if so what & where am i looking for
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Spark,
Sounds like either Coolant sensor or Lambda Sensor Probs. Change the coolant sensor first, its cheaper!!

I have exactly the same problem on my 1.8 8v, but with poor fuel economy too. I have changed the lambda recently but the problem still prevails. Guess i'll have to give the Temp Sensor a go.

After Marks recent experience I would advise using a genuine temp sensor, about £30 from the dealer.
