Hi there,

I am looking at getting a 156 GTA soon and the one owned by Jamhot77 on here seemed to be the best one available. However, it has disappeared from pistonheads either today or yesterday so I'm wondering if it is still available.

I can't phone the owner as I can't get his contact details (as it has been removed from pistonheads)

Thanks, Sam

P.S sorry for using the forum like its a PM but I'm not going to pay 25quid to send one PM haha

Nice choice

I'd love a 3200, but the GTA is enough of a challenge for my wallet!

Some pictures at some point would be great to see :)

Hi James, Bob in Sheffield. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner mate, I've been dragging my heels selling my own car, which is now for sale, incidentally. It's on pistonheads for £5295. Not sure if that's the right price as they seem to vary a great deal. Time will tell, no doubt.

I could have sold my 130 & bought your car with a load of change, so more fool me. I spoke to Ned at Autolusso re picking up my car & moving it to their workshop, but I'd have been into a monkey before I'd started. They wanted to service it ( which it only had in Sept.) and insisted on MOTing it again, which at the time had only been done 2 weeks before at the beginning of march ?? And that was without seeing or checking over it. So a difference of opinion might have cost me dearly !?
Not that it really wants for anything but the flavour of the call had a kind of 'this is what we do, so take it or leave it' vibe. Which I didn't care for & found Ned a little abrupt if I'm honest. He was fairly unkind about your car aswell mate actually. I mentioned it & he immediately said, "Oh, it's f*cking s**t" ?? WTF ? Bit harsh ! :tut: From what I could see it was far from that mate and I'm positive the chap who has bought it doesn't think it's 'f**king s**t'. Good luck with the Maserati, I'm sure it'll be a beast as well.

Well I'll can say say for sure that Ned personally cost me at least two other sales of the car with his expert opinion. It's no secret that after ruining my wife's car and charging me twice for the pleasure Ned and I decided to stop exchanging Xmas cards. But actually putting people off my old car when any other garage would recommend it is just pathetic. Autolusso are one of the main reasons I wanted out of Alfa ownership, loved the owners and the meets but fed up not trusting garages.

Sounds about right about Ned and Autolusso.

I was lucky in that I found out about the 'ongoings' at Autolusso early on in my Alfa ownership, I used them once for my Quaife diff, which I was wary about, popped into my main specialist which had a look and found several bolts were 'loose' and not properly 'tightened', did I take it up with Autolusso/Ned? Nope as I know exactly what kinda character he is and not be trusted.

I've got many many stories of issues with Autolusso, latest one was Gio and his GTV...

I know I'll probably be given a ban again for talking dirt about Autolusso but I really couldn't give two ****s :D

Btw the only person I can trust there is Dan aka Pud on here, he works in the parts department and would recommend him any day
