There blinking horrible and the centres fall out the middle of 0s Ps and 6 etc.

They are mank. I don't understand anyone who'd want them by choice.

BTW do you also fancy putting an Italian passport cover on your UK one?
Or scribbling out your place of birth on your birth certificate and putting "Turin" ?

Number plates are like a legal document. Mess with them at your peril.

:p

;)

Oh, and they get bent to buggery as well.

I ordered my plates from America because I wanted a grey tinted, pressed italian style plate on the front but and that's the only place I could get it from. I have the legal plate on the back because the other Italian one is white  They were just under £60 iirc

There is a 145 Cloverleaf just round the corner from me, which has Italian plates on it, and it has been over here for at least 3 Years, obviously not been told to change them, although they are REAL Italian plates, and it probably has beeen registered in Italy, and allowed to drive over here.......:)

There are countless threads on VW forums about german style pressed plates being illegal and people being pulled over for them.

Whether the police have a similar disdane of Italians and their plates I don't know. But if they do pull you, the standard issue fines from what I've seen tends to be £60 fine....sometimes with the addition of 3 points depending on the attitude/ mood of the police officer in question.

You would need a set of UK plates for MOT aswell. I can't see a car passing the MOT with those on.

I think the UK must be the only country in Europe where people
are preoccupied with the registration number/plate of their car.
