Hi ,
Need some info on my two Alfa's . Firstly my Alfa 156 2000jts broke a cambelt at 60000 miles, had all the valves renewed and now it has lost all oil pressure and run the bottom end , IS THIS NORMAL ?? Plus does anyone know where I can get a good JTS engine at a fair price ??
Secondly I got a 147 1600 ts while I try and locate a engine for the 156, I know mad, only done 50000 miles and guess what just stripped its belt too, is it normal for the Alfa engines to strip belts at these mileages, when Alfa say the belt should be changed at 72000 miles, as both cars have been driven by Ladies, not hard I find it strange that both have done excatly the same , stripped the teeth at the cranck pulley, any help, info and advise would be great.

thanks

yes this is a problem thats why cambelt change on the TS and JTS engine is 36000miles or 3years
like grimreaper said, 36000 miles is the recommended interval for a change.
I didn't know that and mine snapped at 38500 miles

Hope you get things sorted
