No, just a new car that should be given a new name.

This is more like it:
Not according to Marcelo Gandini in an interview in this month’s Auto Italia.

Yes. He released a statement after VW were exposed as tricking him into appearing to condone this thing.
I don't mind it, but then unlike most I wasn't a fan of the original's styling.

It looks like every other Lambo for the past 20 years, except with different headlights.
I like it.....a bit more mature.....ie, it doesn't look quite so much like it was designed by an 8 year old as some of the recent offerings. I can see the Countach references in the new ones design. If they can call the current FIAT 500 a 500 or New Beetle a Beetle.....than that is certainly qualified to carry the Countach name and unlike the other two the engines still in the right place!!
Hopefully they will offer a massive wing as an option like the original....never really like the old one without it....looked unfinished.

In the same issue Enrico Fumia didn’t think much of those either!
Be interesting to know if its a similar size to the original.....I was lucky enough to drive one a very short distance back in the day.....main thing I remember (glorious noise aside) was that reversing involved looking through a rear screen literally not much bigger than a letter box. Might as well not have been there!!!

Fair enough - just how I feel about the 156 and 147 GTA's. At least the 3.2 GT is honest! Despite that, love the Lambo, and it's time to forgive Alfa for those two cars - cos they ain't half bad!
After the Muira, Lamborghini lost the plot in my view, that thing pictured above looks like it was designed by a 14 boy struggling with puberty, bored in an English literature lesson scribbling in the back of his text book. The designer (not the school boy) just did not know when to stop adding bits. Big influence on some of the far East car designs I would say.

Ahem ;-)

and this is how it should have looked, imho.

I am universally hated for my thoughts on the Countach. It looked like a badly cobbled together kit car in the day and looks bloody dreadful today. I don't and never have got it. It was worse than Jaguar replacing the exotically B E A Utiful E-Type with the minging fugly XJS. Miura > countach (not bothering with a capital C.) how? Why?
Diablo on the otherhand...
I like this but as mentioned it really is just another Lambo but I like them.

I'm off to hide away from the fire now.

I'd agree with your sentiment on the look of the Countach, apart from the early cars, I like those. The final editions really are naff, and I'd have a 512BB or TR or 930 Porsche over them any day

Agree with you totally.
I thought the original Countach was stunning. The later ones with the massive tyres and silly wings are too 80s.

I'd stick my neck and say that I prefer the XJS to the S3 E-type, which is oddly proportioned and flashy.

With you on the early Countach. They are very neat. Never liked the Diablo in any of it forms. Much more kit car like in my eyes than even the later Countach.
What about the Japanese Countach's with those eye-bleeding extra wings on the front?
All Lambos look the same to me lately. If someone had posted that top picture and said it was the latest Diablo update I would have believed them.

I do like the Urus tho. I like a nice sporty SUV
