... because everytime I drop the margarine tub lid,
it always lands face down!

... then it hard to pick up, it being a bit flexible and a little greesy,
playing surf's up on the kitchen floor until you eventually prise one end up
to get a finger under it!

... you stand there looking at it and think,
I thought the kitchen floor was cleaner than that!

... while your food is getting burnt or cold,
you try to wash it properly but
it rejects the water because it's oily!

... so you go at it with some soap suds,
getting in between the nooks and crannies (sp)!

Then job done! :( :(
... but everytime you use the tub again you know where it's been!

What is this 'Margarine' that you talk of?
Don't worry, it's not an another automated programmed utility with a female avatar for you to get excited about, again!

Can you not delegate the toast buttering to an apprentice Bored?

Then send them to Romulus to ask for tartan paint....
or a long stand?

Am sure it was scientifically proven that the rate of turn, related to the height of a piece of 'buttered' toast guarantee's it falling 'face down'
Therefore the lid of a margarine tub may have the same properties

Kurzon, try the following experiment:

You will need...
1) a cat
2) a margarine tub lid
3) EDIT... and a slice of buttered toast for later on

The Theory
Cats always land on their feet, and margarine tub lids always land with the margarine side facing down. We need to find which has the stronger force, the cat or the lid.

The Experiment
Sellotape the margarine lid to the cat's back with the margarine side facing up, and blindfold the furry feline. Place the pussy / margarine ensemble on the kitchen worktop, precariously close to the edge. Then creep up behind the cat and shout suddenly and loudly so as to surprise the little fella to make him fall off.

The Result
If the cat lands on his feet he is the winner. If the margarine lid hits the floor first then it wins. Simple!

The Next Test
Carry out the same experiment above but this time substitute the margarine lid for a slice of buttered toast. And use a different cat in case the other one suspects.

Summary
Place the three contestants in order of how well they did and let me know the result.

This just goes to prove - until someone designed a hand-alternative which actually works properly, the field of robotics is largely stalled.

The image of kurzon-bot crouching over his kitchen floor twitching spasmodically at a margarine tub lid does nothing to convince that the technology is just around the corner.
Unless you're outmoded Kurzon? Are you old technology, only fit for the scrap-head?

Kurzon = Cyberdyne systems model: T 1/2. ;)

I still think that the "Number 1 Bjorg" in the universe should be able to delegate the more menial tasks.

Unless of course he is at the beck and call of a more advanced being, a superior intellect.

If you are implying there is ranking order in the BORED... you'd be wrong :bored:

I never mentioned Ranking amongst the Bjorg, but what you do behind closed doors is up to you.

I assume you get your own quarters...... and no communal Ranking goes on. That would be plain wrong!
