Hello everyone, my first post here and I got very good reason for it! Looking to buy a 2005 GT (1.9 JTD), tried it yesterday and it is an absolute beauty! The only concern I have is this: the car has got 140000km (around 87000 miles), now having heard all the stuff about Alfa's reliability I am curious to hear what people think? Will this nice car die on me in few months? The previous owner of the car claims to have done most of the mileage on the highway, so is 140000 to much?

Not a problem providing the car has been serviced properly.
Take note of the waterpump issue though. Has it been replaced along with the cambelt?

You should get a well stamped book and a load of invoices. Have a good look to see that its all been done as per AR schedule.

Thanx guys! Have been reading about the usual issues, yes, the cambelt been replaced at around 70000 miles, cheers for the waterpump tip, missed that one, will check again! Service book looks good but then again, I am buying this car in spain, always a lottery! :)
