Indeed, I wouldn't expect much if any improvement until the 201 plate.

And even then what will January bring? Maybe someone will buy a QF but I can't see the normal cars shifting much. Alfa sales have been declining about 30% a year here since the Giulia was introduced. And now there are two less dealers than the were last January. And Dan Seaman isn't really a dealer as he doesn't have any stock.

Probably not a lot unfortunately & I hope I'm wrong.

There were a good few new Alfas at Dan Seaman's a few weeks ago when I called in including a Stelvio, Giulia & a couple Giuliettas, there were also a couple s/h Mitos & Giuliettas. I don't think there's much point having more than 1 or 2 of each new model in stock & the stock ones should probably be top trim spec which is the case for what is in stock at Seamans. Going by what I've seen & heard most Alfa customers wanting a new one will go for a factory custom order, I know I have/would.

The last time I was there he hadn't a single Alfa in stock. It's not really up to them to force sales of a brand that seems intent on not being a success though.

..well I saw both a Giulia and a Stelvio in the wild over the weekend within a half hour of each other. Didn't notice the plates but they really look great on the road :)

..the thing is the 2020 spec cars will be along soon enough and seemingly they've addressed many of the "shortcomings", so I'd imagine anyone in the market will sit tight unless there's a particularly good deal on something right now.

Total sales/registrations for 2019: 39

Giulia: 19

Petrol 7
Diesel 12

Stelvio: 10

Petrol 2
Diesel 8

Giulietta: 8

Petrol 6
Diesel 2

Mito: 2

Petrol 1
Diesel 1

That's their worst numbers since 2014, similar to 2015 & 2016 & less than half the numbers of 2017 & 2018.
Unfortunately I don't see 2020 having a big improvement as the range is unlikely to change much :(

On the plus side you can currently pick up a Giulia QF for €74K or a Stelvio for < €83K*

* Until they fix the configurator again ;)

Jesus, those numbers really are dismal.

I'd say UK diesel imports will pretty much stop now that the NOX charges have come into effect.

Maybe that means we'll see more petrol Alfas imported. We live in hope!
