iPod stopped working

Hello,

I connected an IPod nano to my new Giulietta 2 weeks ago and it has worked perfectly until today...

I pressed the off button on the sound-system whilst the iPod was playing so I could talk to my husband. After about half an hour I turned the sound-system back on and all I could get was the radio. The iPod was still receiving power and the light next to the USB port was on but the car wasn't recognising the iPod.

Can anyone help me get it working again?
