But nothing to add to the debate.

No Content.

Missing some salient features.

I believe iPhones are being touted as the replacement for the boulders in the next series of World's Strongest Man.

iPhone's serve just to distract you from the people around you who probably want to have a conversation.

Any question put to an iPhone user can usually muster up a reply such as; oh yea yea, but have you seen this app? you can pop bubble wrap!!

i would compare an iphone to an Alfa....they both look great and have their moments....but you wouldnt be without them...now with the latest update and 3G S you have full copy/paste and MMS facility and still have the patented apple pinch and expand ....as for the current crop of apps..

I do love the way the "apps store" is getting pushed as some
new innovation. As if software has never been available for
download before.

I used to download software all the time for both my Psion
and Zaurus. It's not rocket science.

And It wasn't censored by Psion or Sharp either.

Even boggo standard phones have had some cracking Java
apps for ages.

For those who think Apple = some kind of greater quality components

Iphone batteries might be causing overheating - The Inquirer

That plumbed in battery may yet backfire on them.
1. its not plumbed in in the 3GS :p (well it is sealed in but not soldered )

2. Apparently its a very small batch if any at all (I have however seen a few posts and photos about it) but there are far more people who have tried to emulate it and not achieved the overheating! :D

3. Thanks  as I said I don't like change and was getting withdrawal symptoms

Anyhow - Nev have you read about the problems with that Palm Pre thing that you mentioned? :D
Dead pixels, flappy keyboards that fall open, loose fitting cases that let in dust and outside light dulling the screen.

And it even looks like a rock :p
