Is there a way to copy all my favourites from IE to bookmarks in Firefox?
Yeap.

;)

From Firefox:
File, Import, IE, and you select the settings you want to transfer. I suggest you only transfer the bookmarks.

By the way, has everyone "turboed" their firefox? make a hell of a difference :D
It's not about_:config

It's supposed to be:

about :config (<-- write it together (The forum software edits the line to about_:config for some weird reason  )

Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

I voted other, as I am currently using Avant Browser.

This is basically a front end to IE that provides all the benefits of tabbed browsing and ad/pop-up blocking.

I was having some problems with Firefox with compatibility and performance. I configured FF with the setting provided in the other thread, but I was finding that after a while it would slow down again (not sure if this might have been a problem with the cache or something).

And because it is essentially running IE in the background, it is 100% compatible.

Very happy with it. :)

AO Gods:

How about looking into enabling an RSS feed from the forums? Firefox has RSS support. Would save us all visiting the site directly saving you bandwidth = cost, and we can all easily see new post and quickly decide to view, rather than "trawling" through the site?

I have to agree with Green Cloverleaf - Avant Browser is tops!!

No more daft popups! Woohoo

Tabs and site compatability are great too!

Firefox (work) and Safari (home) 99% of the time, mainly because speed, stability, tabs, bookmark management, and pop-up blocking.

That 1% is for the office intranet which only supports IE.
