My clock has lost a couple of the vertical LCD lines, so 1:00 looks like :00.

Any idea for fixes before I buy a new one?

If you've got to replace it anyway, you may as well attempt a repair...

It's probably not the LCD itself, more like the connection to it. A lot of displays are connected using a sort of conductive rubber strip which is sandwiched between the PCB and the LCD (any more acronyms anyone?). If this is the case, there may be a bit of clag (tech term) in this sandwich. Sometimes it is possible tolift the LCD modele away from the connector, brush away debris (use a brush, not your finger) and reassemble.

Like I say, this is not Alfa specific, and may not even apply, but you've got nothing to lose.

If you do swap the whole module, don't be tempted to 'upgrade' to the check panel type (if you currently only have the clock and door type). My Alfa specialist says they are more trouble than they're worth, as you may have gathered fro mthis site...
