My Spiders inner cv boot is split, going to be having a crack at this next weekend, do I need to remove the whole driveshaft to replace it or can I undo the six bolts holding the inner joint together and leave the shaft in the gearbox?

I believe you can. I am currently refurbing a couple of complete driveshafts, hub carriers etc. The inner CV Boot is attached to a plate that goes on side of the joint itself. Because mine were a bit rusty I decided to replace the whole lot but I’m having issues getting replacement plates the right size.

Thanks for the quick reply Nell, I will give it a go and see. I would just remove them but I only replaced the gear box fluid a few months ago so would rather leave it in there for now!
