Add together the purchase prices of all the cars you've ever bought and post that figure here.

Having bought 9 cars in just under 23 years, my total spend so far is £42,775.

Cheapest was the 1st, Mk2 Escort 1600 Sport for £75! Sold it on for £800 after a bit of fettling.
Most expensive was the MiTo at £16,000

Probably best to sum it all then divide by the number of years you've been driving & buying cars to get a relative figure.

My total;
Alfa 145 - £2500
Volvo S40 D - £5500
Volvo S40 T4 - £7500
VW Golf VR6 - £1800
Alfa 166 Super - £2200
Alfa 147 - £2800
Alfa GT - £5400
---------
£27,700

Divided by 12 years;
£2308/year.

£30,200 over 23 years on 27 cars. 14 Fords, 3 Vauxhalls, 3 Volvos, 2 Nissans, and 1 each of Alfa, VW, Renault, Mini and Lada.

I got back £10,910 selling them when I had done and 6 got written off along the way (only 1 being my fault). In theory I made a profit on three of them. However, My MKII Golf and Mini had a fortune spent on them and I got a Laguna (that I didn't want) for free so sold it on.
