Hi,
I think I know the answer to this, but I'd like to run it by everybody...
I finally finished rebuilding the PH1 GTV engine today (several months after I started!), and after charging the battery in anticipation, the big moment came to switch the ignition on.
And....the Code light stayed on
I disconnected the battery again for half an hour or so, having been here before (http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-gtv-and-916-spider/126540-code-flashing.html), but no dice.
So, I tried cranking it to see how juicy the battery was and it wouldn't turn over at all (turns ok by hand though). Am I right in thinking that the immobiliser only disables the engine start, not the starter itself?
I suspect the battery is goosed. I'm charging another one overnight to see if if works with that one (although I think my battery charger is a bit poo).
Any thoughts are appreciated!
