hi all. ignition on. pic of key on dash warning lights sometimes goes off so i can start but now seems to be on permanantly so car won't start. removed cowl round steering column and looked at aerial round ignition barrel. couldn't trace wiring back for said aerial very far. question is this - can i disconnect aerial ? if i do will i disconnect immobilisor and therefore be able to start the car? any help appreciated thanks

The aerial has to be connected to allow the car to start.......

Had this issue with one of my 156s this weekend - fixed it by grovelling around in the driver's footwell:lol: - if you reach up. effectively above the fusebox, you'll be able to feel a small box with two lots of wiring going into it - one thicker than the other, The thin one is the aerial wire, the thicker being the wiring across to the ECU etc. I simply unplugged and reconnected the aerial wire a couple of times, and it cleared the fault - presumably a poor connection. Worth a try, anyway - and you can also try unpugging and reconnecting the thicker wires.....
