Aye the questions is really...
So you like the car - forget its resale value. If you like it and it fits the bill then why not fix the issues.
If I took the line of its uneconomical to repair I would be alfa less and on public transport as my engine shat a big end bearing.
Now mine needs a big suspension over haul for its next MOT and pad's and discs. This alone would probably write the car off if I paid for labour. But the car's good and works perfectly.
Sell it for a project if you want to move onto a new car and are bored.
