Emblem sportscars 01202 722247, they are in Poole!
No experience of Emblem, (an ex-Nigel Mansell company, they probably specialise in cars that whine and whinge....) but I can strongly recommend Hughes (01202-734433) who are a couple of units along from Emblem in the same road. Hughes are Mercedes and Porsche specialists, but they know what they are about. My last car, a Saab went to them for servicing even when it was still in warranty, and so did my previous Audi A4, they were far, far better than the local Saab and Audi dealers as well as being almost half the price, and they look after my Wife's VW Polo for the same reason, finding at their first attempt an obscure electrical fault that had eluded the idiots at the Poole VW people for over a year. I last went there a couple of months ago and asked their advice on the new Alfa 159 I was planning on getting. No problem at all they told me, we can look after that, but unless they upset me, I'll be taking my 159 to Meridien Bournemouth as long as it's still in warranty, early days, but they also seem to be pretty good from what I've seen and heard.

Cheers guys. Found an Alfa Specialist not too far from my hotel so it is there at the minute.

It certainly was. It was the auxilliary timing belt?. £70 fitted.

Can't argue with that at all. I'd recommend them.

I imagine it's where you've ended up, but I've been using these guys in Poole for all my alfa work for a couple of years and they're great...bloody cheap labour rate too:

Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Italian Car Spares and Repairs
Well lucky me, I live about three mostly downhill miles away from them, three miles from Emblem and Hughes, and only just over one mile from Meridien, so that ought to cover all eventualities.
