would you change the GTA for one of the following:

1. Brera S with all the 'Tuning Box' bits on
2. 159 Q4 V6 again with the tuning additions???

As AR dont plan on any GTA models anytime soon these are the closest right now.

I would be tempted but think that GTA badge is a little too special

If I HAD to choose, i'd go for the 159, as i'm really not struck on the rear quarters of the Brera.

The GTA is something timeless, whether 147 or 156, and even if they didn't carry that iconic three letter badge, they are SO different from the rest of the range, they feel very special. Personally, I never intend to sell mine..................it's a modern classic in the making.

Neither

When I change i'll be jumping ship to a Marque that provides big fast comfort, kinda like this.

Maserati : Maserati 3200 GTA Black 59000 miles

Or

West Sussex Specialist Cars : 2002 JAGUAR XK 4.0 V8 COUPE

Or

Aston Martin : DB7 with Every Extra Fitted including DRIVE DYNAMICS OPTION

:D

Got a house to sell first, paying two mortgages at the mo and have been for the past year :(
Stick with the Italian Sean.....Masser 3200 all the way. Much prettier at the back than the 4200. That would be my next car.............if I could ever afford to run it!!

No, I don't think so - despite them both being very nice cars.

Erm... that DB7... has someone fitted an aftermarket GT badge to it?

if i HAD to, then i'd probably get the 159, but i'd rather not. Maybe if there was such a thing as a 159 GTA.

Having to choose out of these two I would take the 159, but keeping the GTA is way better option. In the current range there is no model that would make you feel that special.

part ex'd my 159 q4 ti 2.4210 for the gta (cash in the back pocket and a car i really wanted in the bag  )

holden sourced v6 is very thirsty and no way as nice as the old v6 and no proper tuning bits - hence going the diesel route as easily as quick and remap very good

quick but very heavy 1800kg! in sw form

great car but not as good as the gta for feel / fun

q4 feels better than the fwd despite being heavier - but 33mpg for a diesel is pretty pants really

both can be a deprecation disaster as well if not careful

For me it'd be the BreraS - I love the looks of the 159, but its too sensible for me, and the Brera's looks are growing on me.

2 valid points there, would have to be 4wd drive for me in the 3.2 for either car.

Brera is also growing on me, but still think another 1500 on the GTA would make it finished so just need a small lottery win really.

The closest thing Alfa make (or are about to ;)) to the GTA will be a Giulietta Cloverleaf. Not the same beast admittedly but should be worth a look with a lightweight 1.8 Turbo with 235 BHP.

Would it be practical to disconect the fwd to leave a brera rwd? If so I wouldn't say no to a fully speced AD version but wouldn't get rid of my current gta for one or any other alfa tbh
