I'm new to 166 ownership and have just got a replacement ICS to work, sort of!
It's not fully pushed home yet and the heater control panel, fog light switches and hazzard warning switch have yet to be connected, but the radio works fine as do the selector controls and audio functions and trip computer, etc.
So why am I posting this?
Because the function buttons don't illuminate regardless of whether the ignition is on and/or the parking lights are on.
The thing is, prior to buying this 166, I've never even sat in one before and I don't know for sure if these buttons are supposed to illuminate, and if they do, under what conditions?
Help???

Hi, If you're referring to the row of switches under the display (Main, Audio etc), then yes they do illuminate when the headlights are on, though they're not very bright and the illumination isn't obvious in daylight. They are however clearly lit up at night (having said that, in my case the three on the right are barely illuminated in darkness but I can live with it).
