Ive been looking for a 3litre sportronic for ages, and having trawled the classifieds, and Fleabay and Trader, I realise the right one just hasnt come up and someone out there may want to part with theirs but havent advertised it?

I prefer, Silver, Black, Red, 17" Alloys, cambelt done. Remap? Well looked after? Black leather? 2000 onwards.

What you got?

Anyone? :)

I have what you want, in terms of spec and colour, but no remap. I really want a super again, but can't find one!

My Sportronic is due a cambelt next year, and would benefit from rear springs (front is done). Could be tempted to sell as I have another car to drive.

I bought one in the UK in 2009 but rarely use it. It is still on English plates and is in storage in Dublin. The annual motor tax is prohibitive in the Republic of Ireland. I take it out for the odd spin. Just 62,000 miles on the clock from new. One owner, have V5 and full service history with Monza in the UK. I am in two minds as to what to do with it. It got it MOT'd in Northern Ireland last month. I had it up on Piston heads for a while, a few interested parties but a sale never materialized. I was looking for £2750 and that is probably why she did not sell. Lovely car to drive, few with low miles like this one. I will try and upload a photo.

Sporto purchase. Same overall result, simpler route.

Suggest that you:

a) run around naked in front of your friends, family and workmates so that they all laugh at you.

b) flush all of your money down the toilet.

This is a simpler way of achieving the same overall result.

F/L in Birmingham

What about that F/L in B'ham then (if it's still there), Less than £2k and it has all the toys.

Has the lovely 19" alloys too.

Having had loads of Alfas, I assume that you're fairly handy (unlike me, I point and pay - and boy, do I pay). That way you'll be able to catch up with the stuff that needs fixing.

..maybe i've been lucky, but my sportronic has been the best money i've ever spent on a car. It's thirsty for sure, and i've got a gruesome €1300 p/a motor tax bill, but apart from that it's mostly just regular servicing.

I budget around a grand a year for maintenance.. some years it'll be less, but you'll have maybe a timing belt change or suspension revamp the next year to balance it out. It's not a corolla, but in terms of bangs per buck it's been great value..

1,300 (I can't find the Euro key) Euros!!!!!!

Respect. Your dedication does you credit.

Only £260 quid here and I was moaning (older 166s might get away with £180??).

I (maybe) could get new springs & shocks for the difference.

..actually my dedication is mostly on credit..!

..well a 3.2 159 would cost €2200 p/a under our newer CO2 based system, so it's a bargan really...
Who'd live in Ireland huh? Oh wait a minute....
