I’ve decided to go for the full Novol treatment to ensure it stays amazing for many years to come.

RENOVATION WITH NOVOL for CLASSIC CAR TECHNOLOGY

Stage 1 Anti Corrosive Primer done.
So that’s your car on their Facebook page, very nice job so far.

Just about o start the resto of my 1600 Junior, been looking about for a good metal worker to repair my roof after being fitted with an 80 glass push up sunroof and then a terrible repair after it removal.

Welding is almost finished, just the roof to do.

If anyone is interested hopefully this link will show the stages so far.

Now all I’ve got to do is decide the colour which I’m finding almost impossible to do. Top colour at the moment is the metallic dark grey, I think it’s very classy but maybe too safe and my Porsche is almost exactly the same colour. Next is the lighter metallic green, stylish, unusual and a nod to the original Datsun green. I did say anything but red but the more cars I look at the more I can see why it suits the colour so much. Other that that I’ve no idea!!

Simon, that is some serious rebuilding work, clearly the guys doing it know what they are doing, and you must have been a very rich man, before the project started!

Yes I’m very happy with their work, the accident damage was an unfortunate surprise but they’ve done a great job. The last bit is taking the roof off, as it looks like it rolled in the accident. New A pillars need fabricating, a couple of rust repairs then back on.

Sadly I don’t know any rich teachers and the accident damage has definitely hit the budget but we are just about still on track!
