Hello all. Having just laid out a bucket load of cash for cambelt, oil cooler and pipes, rear suspension etc I have tonight managed to get front drivers side lower skirt wedged on kerb and cracked it! Is this repairable? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1322678706.986377.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1322678748.076202.jpg

Please say yes!! I really do not have the dosh to lay out for new skirt. Your advices are kindly awaited.

That's not a big deal mate. A SMART repair specialist should be able to sort it out for you.

Prices vary by region but I'd imagine about £150 or there abouts

Agree doesnt look bad at all. You could either glue or fibreglass from the back and then fill the front and rub it down and spray it. Red is a really easy colour to spray and match. It wouldnt cost much at all, around £30-40 to do it yourself. Being low on the splitter you wont really notice any imperfections and things like this are fun doing it yourself

PS worth paying for the good paint, sprays on much better and dont forget the lacquer.

But I am totally incompetent!! I have attempted touch up repairs etc in the past and they always look like s**t!!

I dont mind doing the glueing, filling and sanding but the spray side frightens me.

Thanks for your responses. Can anyone recommend a SMART repair person in Sussex area please?

I am but still annoyed with myself and the previous owner. Another example of him penny pinching . Badly installed cam belt done on the cheap messed timing up and needed full kit to put right. Why would you have a gtv cup and not look after it??

Got to remove the zender fuel flap cover somehow and hope that the damage is not too bad!!! Anyone attempted this?

I like the zender quad exhausts though so they can stay.
