If you have reflector lamps i wouldnt bother. You need projector lamps and if a GT has projector lamps, chances are it already has xenons
You don't need projector lamps.

On a 147/156/GT use H7C short HIDs to fit under the metal caps of the dipbeam units.

If you chop the metal caps off to fit the std length H7 HIDs, then the pattern is worse because the cap helps form the cut-off.
Short H7C HIDs are fine in 147/156/GT.

Ok, I feel a little bit silly now. Yes putting those main connections from the bulb to the ballasts has made the kit I bought work, and work a treat too. I talked the seller through what I was doing with the kit and they were very helpful so I'm a happy boy.

Nicely placed on both sides and secured, no need to trim any of the plastics for this kit to fit nicely even on the n/s so that's nice :)

I've got some better side light bulbs waiting to be fitted once my replacement lower lights arrive this week hopefully. Also waiting on some Philips Blue Vision bulbs to arrive for the Main Beam, used them before in my V70 and they are convincing...

Here's the link again for the kit I bought in the end...

I'll get another pic up of the lights tomorrow after a pic at night.

Could someone please post a link to the sidelight bulbs. All the links I click on seem to have expired.

Possibly a stupid question here but to change the sidelight bulbs is it a bumper off job or do the lamps pop off from the front?

Finally, have you guys just been using normal front indicator bulbs?

Your link does not point to a specific bulb so cannot say whether or not they would fit. I bought some that were too long - there is not room for much extra length, approximately an extra 10mm over the standard W5W length. Standard W5W is 27mm long x 10mm diameter, The over-long bulbs I bought had a diameter of 11.8mm and went through the aperture OK.

These look like they will fit W5W LED and reviews are good.
I bought the bulbs I linked to and had them fitted today, they are a good 'normal' white and quite a bit brighter than the ordinary filament bulbs, very pleased with them.

Try something like these, same thing but rather than costing £16 posted they're only £2.09!

When you put them into the bulb holder, test the lights first before putting the lights back together as some of these LED bulbs are sensitive to which way around they go so if it doesn't work take it out and put it in the other way around and test again.

I personally just use normal front indicator bulbs, they're bright and nice enough when you look at them yourself ;)

P.S. You only need to remove 2 of the 3 screws to remove the unit, the upper and outer ones. The other is meant to adjust the fog light, it doesn't seem to do anything though lol!

But have you fitted them? If so, please give a report and post a picture.

They are obviously not the "same thing", the differences are obvious to me. Plenty of cheap W5W LEDs around and plenty of bad reports.

I went for these because of the good reports, and they are very good, pity they are not presently available, I bought mine about a week ago, maybe I bought the last pair.
