47.5mpg in my Mito Cloverleaf this morning... Can anyone top that?!

Filled up in Crawley Down and drove to Tunbridge Wells, which is a 20-odd mile journey with urban roads and country lanes. I had it over 48mpg, until I had to squeeze into a particularly tight space.

The Multiair engine is truly witchcraft, or I am the greatest driver that ever lived... :D

I've been able to get all my Alfas to 17
(Which is almost the same in MPG and l/100km) so it makes it easier for converting.)

That easily beats 48, no?

What do I win?

Whoa I don't think I've ever dipped below 35mpg and that's been when having serious fun....

I'd say I have a heavy right foot when I want to - have had lots of playtime and devoted some time investigating Alfie's top speed......

Since getting my alignment sorted I've gone from 33 to 40 and, once the engine is warmed through, I drive it pretty hard. Once you've travelled more than 10 miles the QV is very economical - guess how far my commute is

I've had my 155TB down to 9 mpg before. :D beat that!:p
But everyday driving I'm averaging about 32mpg, best I've had 44ish mpg was on roads in the highlands. Which I think is pretty reasonable for an old school turbo.
