hi everyone :)

this is my ride. 2010, 159 2.2 JTS. i am from singapore. appreciate some advice to something i am experiencing.

there seems to be some resonance when driving at between 70 to 80 kmh. it comes on and off though, can't tell what it is, annoying. brought it to the workshop, the AR technician told me it is caused by wind? some how or rather, i do not think it is, sounds mechanical made to me though. they did a thorough check on the engine, all are reported to be in good order.

anyone faced this problem with yours? appreciate your comments.

thanks.

Check the plastic wheel arch liner where it fits into the slot at the rear base of the front wheel arches. I had a similar sounding issue and it was driving me mad, until someone suggested this and when I checked, there is a small amount of play in the slot where the arch liner is retained, which rattles/vibrates at certain speeds (about 60mph+) caused by wind buffeting.

The fix is to stuff a small strip of sticky back foam or similar into the recess to pack it out. Problem fixed.
