Hi!

I just bought a 155 Silverstone and the guy who sold it to me said that it should have 138hp. I've heard with another guy who once owned a Silverstone and he said the same.

Talked witha guy from squadra-chip and he meant that the Silverstone had been upgraded in Germany and England, but couldn't find any upgraded parts on my car.

Anyone who knows anything about this mystery?

There was a bit of folklore that the Silverstone had a few more BHP, but in truth they are just standard cars with a few bits taken away (like colour coding and the ski hatch) and then the spoiler added.... :D

"Silverstone" was invented to homologate the 155 aero packeage for BTCC Touring Car racers... I think they chose the 1.8 as it was the cheapest model.. hence easier to sell the required numbers. The engine of the BTCC racing cars used a 2.0 ltr engine, so didn't require anything fancy in the homoogation car (i.e the Silverstone) engine room.
