I'm gonna need a bigger car at some point.

When was the V6 discontinued in the 156? Were there any facelifted (2003) V6 Sportwagons?

The UK cars became facelifted in August 2003 and the 2.5 was dropped so a late registered 53 is as new as you will get.

They did actually come with the facelifted interior from April 2002 to August 2003, but never the facelift exterior in RHD/UK spec.

The facelifted V6 did exist, but as CJ correctly points out Alfa UK stopped importing V6 when the 2003 facelift came in.

There probably arn't many though.

The interior facelift in 2002 with the V6 made it to Australia, in limited numbers. The 2003 exterior upgrade was also supposedly available but I've never seen one.

Does anyone know when production ceased for the 156 models. They were still selling them new down under earlier this year.

Order books closed for the 156 Berlina in April 2005(!) and for the 156 Sportwagon they closed in June 2005.

The 156 2.5 V6 was dropped in Q3 2004. But like David mentioned, the facelifted 2.5 never made it to the UK.

The 156 Crosswagon Q4 however stayed in production until the end of last year.

Prego :)

Paesi Bassi = The Netherlands

When the order books closes, production usually stops ~ 2 months after that. So you have really one of the last 156s built. (apart from the Crosswagon of course)
