Hi
Just bought a 159 1.9 jtdm from a dealer.

He was not happy when I pulled out the deal at the last minute unless they did the cambelt and water pump. It's at 82k miles 08 reg.

In the end he agreed to do it, I have to pay £50 deposit, not bad, I collect it after the wk end.

One thing though, how can I be sure he has done it, including the water pump, tensioners etc, is there anyway? Not sure if I trust him, and not sure if I dare ring them and say keep the old ones for me.

It's a big garage, but I would say a little bit dodgy from past experience.

So my question is is there anyway I can tell? Or even if intake it to Alfa, can they tell? For cheap?

Thanks

you'll need to remove atleast one bolt iirc to leaver the cover away from the belt and see,
cant remember if its an alankey bolt or a hex though.

Ok, thanks will check it out.

Maybe I can sweet talk an Alfa dealer to look to see if it is new or not with the promise they can do it if it's not new,,,
