Hmmm, I'm still Alfaless despite many temptations (mainly abused 156s with less than truthful sellers) so to relieve my trusty ol' Merc of daily duties I've got my hands on a '99 Prelude.

So, what do I think?

Well, it's kinda ok. Goes well enough and is in decent nick. 128k miles and some history all for 690 notes. It's a bit 'Honda' inside ie not very exciting, not a patch for interior style on a 147 for example but it's well put together and it likes the corners.

It does feel like a toy compared to the Merc though. The old bus is still a trusty servant and I wouldn't hesitate to do any journey in it - it just like the juice a little too much for commuting etc.

Levi

i love your 280CE; that's a great engine.

My dad had a 280TE (same engine) and i remember many a time when the 'box got knocked out of 'D' to 'S' to let that engine sing. Cracking engine that

Both very nice cars IMO. Merc is a real merc before they went all crappy with poor build quality and the honda is a reliable if slighty boring daily driver
