Finally, I would genuinely appreciate if you can point me to all of these posts where I have expressed such dreadfull opinions of the modern range of Alfa's?

Such dreadful opinions, huge detailed denunciation of all new Alfa's in numerous 300 word posts, no I don't think so Pain the A33/164 post was a bit OTT. I may even have been to unspecific with the 'new rubbish' remark even though I meant in a particular area and not the car as a whole but never mind.
However I will give my opinion to your original thread and your questions for what its worth of course if one so wishes!
Firstly in regard to dave still waiting that is the matter of a P.M. However some of this may be relevant I hope!!!

Who's writing off every other car as boring?
I think that this is the crux of most of what we discuss here Pain, and why were all here rather than at another owners forum.
The Italian's go about there interpretation of car design totally different from that of the German's and I sight that example for obvious reasons. If you asked 9/10 people what they would want to own if they had the means I would imagine it would be a Ferrari. They encapsulate and have an attatchment to one's emotions and excite/entertain and most importantly give enjoyment through the whole experience and the Italians understand this IMO better than anyone else.
Most Alfa Owners I meet and know also get that from their ownership, the only difference on the whole being that the smaller engines and cost parameters obviously diminish the performance of the vehicle but not to any great loss of those other factors. It appears to be a crime that one is content regardless of price in owning an Alfa and has no real interest in anything else. Or is it only those of us who see through the modern consumerism/sell you an illusion nonsense that it pertains?
The last time I drove a BMW which was a newish 320 I found it was the same as every other German car I have ever encountered very well put together safe in it's design reliable but so cold, boring clynical and bland in its application.
Now obviously it depends on one's criteria but this thread is in regard to drivng enthusaism according to your post so I personally don't see that vehicle construction is relevant in this one particular instance.
I can only refer to the driving experience personally Pain but their just was no driving experience for me they are just totally uninvolving and nothing more than a sum of their parts, along with many Japenese cars I have tried I might add. If that is narrow minded so be it, however if you feel that I am missing out on "driving enthusiasm and fun" I will gladly test drive a 330 ci and give you my honest opinion. I just cannot see that it will be anything more, than that which I have already expressed. But if you find it equal to an Alfa in its driving pleasure then fair enough.
I could list a large number of vehicles that do not have an Alfa badge which I feel enhance driving and are not boring if you like?so no right off there. But I am loyal to the Marque because I understand and know what I am getting along with hundreds of others here and I simply do not get that with anything else as a driving package (Including not just to sight german vehicles The R34 Skyline).
As for the snobbish stuff a bit of reverse snobbery in regard to BMW drivers is defintely a good thing from everyone especially in the U.K!
Warm regards
