hi i'm dean but i've had the nickname doody for years so tend to use that.

i'm new to alfa romeo world as i've nearly always had fiat's (well fast fiat's really) and i've loved them all especially my coupe's in particular my last one a broom yellow plus.
anyway i've always fancied an alfa so bought a T reg silver spider.
it has several problems to sort.

it was a bit of a silly purchase actually as i never went to view before i put an offer in on ebay
i've sorted out most of them but in the end i could of bought a better one for what this is costing me. that'll teach me for buying a car i didn't look at first :wow:, never done it before or will again.

well sorry going of topic alittle so a big hello to everyone and hope i'm going to love owning an alfa as i have my fiats over the years.

Hi Doody, a warm welcome from the Lincs Mob !!!

We are quite an active little group here so it would be very nice to see you in the Lincs Lounge and at some of our Meets soon. Lots of these coming up, some great ones coming up over the next few Months.

Our next Lincs Meet is an all day one at the Battle of Britain day at East Kirkby on the 17th Sept, starting with breakfast, day at the show and then evening drinks, a great Meet and the beauty of it is that if you don’t like us you can disappear into the crowd at EK !! Do come along if you can.

Our “ regular “ Meets are usually ( but not always ) on a Thursday evening and are scattered around the County and these are interspersed with our “ special “ Meets throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn. We have a lot of Events coming up again during this year, some of them are just Beer and Chat type things but a lot of very special ones too, we don’t get bored here in the Flatlands. Keep an eye on the Lincs Lounge for full details. Here are some more upcoming Events, there will be others in between these !

Coming up in October is a Meet you really can’t afford to miss, may save you money as well as a having a good day out !

We are also having an Evening Pub meet on the 20th October.

You might want to add your details on to the “ Names, Locations and Cars “ Thread too, I generally don’t do this unless people “ask “ in there, don’t wish to give away any secrets !

Follow the Links to see what is going on and join in, I can pretty much say that you won't regret it. Apart from myself everyone else in the Lincs Section are very nice people.........

From the Lincs Lounge also follow Links and see what we have been up to in the past, some cracking Meets and some great pictures.

Don't forget to look at the " Stickies " right on top of the Lincs Lounge page.

Cheers,

Nige.

hi again, thanks for the welcomes guys.

i would very much like to come to some meets to see some of your cars (i went to a couple with my coupe, it's a great way of showing your car off) but it would make me quite jealous as mine isn't that good.
i've had to do loads to the car and i've only had it 2 weeks, things like:
wiper motor
stereo
rewire the roof well part of it
fix central locking
replace seals
a massive service that included everything even all fluids which cost me a fortune in just parts alone
fit new air-flow meter
fit new battery
fit another heater motor
replace some dash bulb lights
replace a scratched drivers window
regrease every moving part that i could find

and i'm not finished, theres still a cambelt i have to do, front discs and pads, aircon to get working, airbag light to reset and god knows what else that will end up going wrong when i disturb things.

on the plus side though every little thing i do to her is making a difference, it really is getting nicer to drive with a very quiet engine but a loverly rasp when you drive lets say spirited and i quite like owning an alfa romeo sounds much more sexy than saying fiat.
