Hi All
I have joined as I am seriously thinking of buying a 147 Q2 diesel 1.9
I currently have a C class merc C180 sport, although she is a little tired these days (R plate)
But what I want to know is, as a newcomer to the world of Alfa, what are these cars like to live with day to day. I have had a look at the price of some key parts and they dont seem any worse than most other cars, but there is the reputation Alfa has for being unreliable, I am looking at a 57 plate, does this still exist??
Should I get the dealer to do the cambelt as part of the deal (58000 on the clock)
The car is priced at £5900 is this too expensive, what should it be??
What other problems should I be looking out for?
Sorry for asking so many questions but I have been looking for a new car for the last 2 weeks and this is the first one that is small enough for the wife to drive but has enough toys and spec to keep me happy, but I cant afford to waste 6 grand, this car will HAVE to last me at least 5 years, I need to know that it will last the distance!!
Thanks
Karl
