Hi All,

I have a red alfa sprint coupe 1985, 1.6 clover rotting away in the garden. I live in Warrandyte, Melbourne Australia so the rust isn't as quite as bad as it could be. I'm looking for encouragement and enthusiasts in the Melbourne area who would be interested in helping me out on a resto. Theres a catch, I know very little about restos and this would be my first. Ive replaced things like the water tank on it myself and really enjoyed the process. Its a lovely car, it goes when jumped, but there's some rust issues. Is it worth the work to bring it back? EG. the front window screen side brace bit is rusting (stop me if im getting technical) but its got spirit and that's why I recon it deserves some love. Any guidance, advice or knowledge of resources in my area would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Stuart

Hi and welcome to AO.
Of course it is worth it. Doesn't sound that bad and it's a beautiful model.
Head to the Sud/Sprint lounge, start a thread, post some photos and you will get all the help you need.
Cheers.
