Been away for a few weeks (12) before l left the UK car excellent , came back yesterday and found a oil leak under the car etc , not happy .been for a short drive and less oil on the drive .
Been told it maybe just as its sat (?? sounds like ******** to me ) and theirs a green clock appears on the dash .......no idea what that is either .
Seeing as lm away to Poland in a few days lm not exactly a happy camper .Can anyone throw some light on the above ?...
Not sure about the oil leak but the green 'clock' sounds like the cruise control icon. Check the lower stalk on the left had side of the steering column to check if the cruise control has been switched on.
As above green clock sounds like the cruise control.
Regards the oil, you may have had a small leak for a while that you hadn't noticed. I'd say the first place to look is under the front left hand side of the car (when looking towards the engine)....this is where you'll see the oil cooler pipes and oil cooler which are very prone to deteriorating and leaking at this age.
Usually the factory under tray would prevent oil from dripping onto the ground, but if you have a split in it, or a non standard tray, or none at all then this would explain the mess on the floor.
Other obvious places to check are the oil filter...is it tight?
was in the process of calling you Ned , yes mate l'll call tomorrow as we can sort pls , needs a ticket too ......
cheers .
