Hi Guys and Gals

I have a alfa 156 2.0l twinspark and have been getting problems with the heating staying on when engine is off, so with it running all the time flattens the battery. i bought a new battery and now the battery light is always on.

So if any 1 has gone through the same or has any idea please please help.

Many Thanks

In the olden days you could overhaul or replace just the diode pack. But unfortunately these days its not a DIY job. Im from the motor trade, and i spent 4 hours replacing the bearings in my Dads Citroen C5 estate diesel alternator. A new Alternator was over £600, so £8 for the bearings and a little patience was worth it.

Get a quote for a new alternator, and whilst there ask if they can refurbish yours.
