It's that time for serious (and expensive) things to happen... cambelt change and associated. I am looking for good independant(s) of note in my locality.
Home is Hindhead, Surrey & work is just outside Maidenhead - anywhere within striking distance at either end or en route between please

It would be good if there was a list on the site of the better indi garages in the uk.

i have used alfaaid in the past on all three of my alfas , they are not the cheapest but know what they are doing . just outside maidenhead heading to reading on A4

Alfa aid is great. But seriously expensive. Similar to a main dealer. I live next to it, and it always turns out cheaper to drive to autolusso or alfa workshop or a is for alfa.

Not sure on your route, but for great service, and keen prices I'd head to AforAlfa in Aylesbury...he's done 2 cambelt jobs for me and both times very impressed.

Adrian, autolusso have a new branch down in Bournemouth - can't get better than that really for service, and good prices.

I've used Mike at Roberts Aerospace and Mike at A & H both near Fareham and both excellent as far as I am concerned.

Alfaaid in Maidenhead - just on the A4 on the Reading side of town. 01628 788887. Always been good to me and looked after my car well. And they have loan cars available. Might be a bit more expensive (probably due to location more than anything), but they have never let me down and always appear to give good £ saving advice. Worth a try.

You'll be fine Paul does all my cambelts including the one on my turbo lump and because I was stuck he even helped by doing it at mine (but I know Paul quite well now) he's extremely helpful.

A very good experience, Paul is a very knowledgable guy that most definitely knows his Alfa's
I would highly recommend A for Alfa, a very good first experience from an Alfa independant.

Suitably impressed with price too.....all in 280

Alfaid in maidstone have looked after my 2.4 sportwagon since out of warranty (5 years)...excellent service. Adrian and Lee friendly and helpful.

Totally recommended.
