Hi All

After disconnecting the battery yesterday my windows are not functioning properly, when I open the door the windows go down about 3 inches more than the usual 1 inch and when I close the door the do not go back up.

This is as result of having the problem in this thread.

I have tried the reset option but no joy.

Does anyone know how to get the windows operating back as normal or do I have to book a trip to my local dealer.

Any help much appreciated.

You need to perform a window reset.

Holding the buttons for 10 seconds up then down.

Try a thread search for the exact procedure.

Had the same issue on my spider, is it just the left hand side? Dan at HR Owen in Fulham told me about the reset procedure which worked a treat for me...

start the car. put the window down and keep the button pressed down for another 10 sec without releaseing, then straight away, close the window and hold the button up for an extra 10 sec without releasing. If that doesn't work, do it again but do it twice in a row.

Hi All

I had previously tried the reset but to no avail.
This afternoon I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and tried again and this time the 10 second hold worked ok.
So all back to normal now.
