Hi everyone

My 1.6 147 2002 is only running on 3 cylinders.

I went out this morning and started it up and after approx 2 minutes it intermittently started misfiring, then just ran on 3.

I took it for a short run up the road thinking it might clear, the car had no power and then I got the Motor Control Failure warning up.

I tried disconnecting the MAF but this had no effect still ran on 3.

I've had a look at the Spark Plugs in no1 looked a bit black and sooty and the other 3 looked ok and all the plugs were dry.
There is no mayo under the oil filler cap to indicate a blown head gasket any ideas what to look for?

Many Thanks

Try switching the coil packs & see if the fault 'moves'

It will be either plugs coming to the end of their life or a coilpack breaking down. Easy fix :)

Thanks, I'll try switching coil packs, I've already replaced one due to intermittent misfire before, and the plugs are definitely in need of replacing.
