Hi,

Car is 156, 98, 2.0 engine.
The piece attached down fell down and was rolling around the driver's feet space under the pedals.
I don't know where it's from and is it an important piece.
Everything seems to function well for now, I'm just worried as its been snowing a lot here, and the streets are full of bumps which my Alfa doesn't like.
If the piece is familiar please tell me what it is and where can I put it back!

Ok, so i was too fast to respond. The piece fell off again, I hadn't noticed but the spring was broken in half and I had placed it only with the other half of the spring.
My question now is, how do I connect the little white plastic to the back of the pedal? Do I just try to align it somehow with the pedal or is there some mechanism that keeps in place with the pedal (in pic, number 6?).
Also in the picture it says the piece that fell is on the top (number 12) but in my car its basically facing downwards and the little fork seems to need to be placed at the back of the pedal.
Am I understanding this correctly or am I totally out of the ballpark?
