Hi all,

I have recently bought from Autolusso their Air intake pipe thet fits to the throttle body and i am very impressed with it, apart from it was tight to fit and it seems to be stretching the resonator/MAF a little bit.
But to make it fit perfectly i am thinking of removing the resonator and fitting a new 90 degree angle silicone pipe and adding a piece of aliminium pipe to join the two ends together.
My question is:

1-what is the diameter of the pipe needed to attach to the MAF

By the way, i have a 3.0 V6 24v cup before anyone asks what car i have.

i didnt want to take the pipes off because it was a pain to get on in the first place.
Was just wondering if anyone has done this already and if they could help me out.

It's a VERY tight fit on the MAF.

That's what I want to do on mine. Does it improve performance or make it a bit louder?

It does make it louder, however I did find improved performance too. It seems to feel a little 'free-er' breathing easier, it may be psychosomatic due to the noise but does seem to be running better. I recently put a quad exhaust on the car with nO performance upgrade after, I feel after doing this it has paired up with the exhaust and there is a noticeable change.

that's what I think & then I go & drive one of the std cars & they feel just as quick.:lol:

So! the Alfa Designers just through a big chunk of unnecessary plastic, a box(Resonator) just to fill a hole then!?

The boxes are there for sound deadening.
