My car has just failed its MOT as the ABS light isnt coming on, start up. I have checked the fuse by the fuel pump and it's not that. Any ideas? Anyone willing to come to Medway to sort it and I will pay top money as I'm now without a car. The 10 days has lapsed so can't drive her.

Thanks

Have you checked to see if the led in the instruments has been covered with tape? That's a common solution

Or you can hav the abs pump removed and brake pipes redone to suite and you'll pass as in the mot rules you are allowed to disconnect the abs system providing you remove it from the car rather then disabling it.

Most likely it'd got tape on it and a wheel sensor is needing replacing.

not saying a permanant fix or anything like that nor a way of getting round mot ;-)

i had a calibra a few yrs ago and it had a abs fault light on but needed it to pass....

so i took the dials out and wired the abs light to the oil warning light or ignition isolated the abs wiring ok i think which meant when car started the light went out !!

passed mot and drove for a few yrs before i got rid off

as i said not a permant fix ok
