Hi there,

I have just bought a 1982 LHD Californian Import Spider. She is beautiful, but my local garage has spent 6 weeks trying to get her on the road with no luck!

It now appears that the ECU is water-damaged and we just don't know where to get replacement parts.

Can anyone recommend a nearby Alfa specialist who I can send the car to?

Nottingham, Grantham, Peterborough, Corby, Northampton, Wellingborough, Cambridge are all accessible!

Thanks!

Hi Helsey, a warm welcome from the Lincs Mob !!!

We are quite an active little group here so it would be very nice to see you in the Lincs Lounge and at some of our Meets soon.

Our next Meet is an Evening one, on the 26th August, and it is in the Horncastle area from 19.00 onwards that Thursday night.

You might want to add your details on to the “ Names, Locations and Cars “ Thread too, I generally don’t do this unless people “ask “ in there, don’t wish to give away any secrets !

Follow the Links to see what is going on and join in, I can pretty much say that you won't regret it. Apart from myself everyone else in the Lincs Section are very nice people.........

Our next Meet in one weeks time…

We also have a very special all day Meet on Saturday on the 11th Sept.

From the Lincs Lounge also follow Links and see what we have been up to last year, some cracking Meets and some great pictures.

Don't forget to look at the " Stickies " right on top of the Lincs Lounge page.

In regard to your specific query it might be a good idea to ring Tom and Phil at BLS in Lincoln, they are good guys and may well be able to help, they are certainly very experienced on older Alfas. See the Link below.

Alfa Romeo Specialist BLS Automotive

For spares the usual suspects are EB Spares, Highwood Alfa, Alfaholics, to name but a few.

Take a look at my GTV Spares Thread, we have a few Links to Spares Suppliers in there too.

Hope you can get sorted out soon so we can admire your Spider. We have a few Classics in the Region so you'd fit right in !

Cheers,

Nige.
