Are the Alfa Romeos sold by Motorpoint of Derby, a large car supermarket, UK cars or are they imported? If so where from?

How would this affect the price of a second hand car, bought privately, but originally bought from Motorpoint?

The new ones are imported

1) There is a preperation fee on top of the advertised price
2) The warranty is 2 years
3) You will be the second registered owner (on the same day)
4) Check the acyual spec very carefully as not all are full UK
5) The windows will not be security etched
6) The service book is the European version
7) There is no AA/ RAC breakdown cover

Our 147 was from a dealer in Gibraltar via Motorpoint.

If you about 1-6 above, is happy days, we saved about £8000....

The spec wasnt quite right, but they gave us money back and I spent much less than that buying the 3 parts from Alfa to fit myself.

They usually offer the car with a load of extra's for less than the price of the basic UK car.

We have had the car for 2 years, the Alfa dealer carried the one warrnty repair we needed without question.

If you go in with your eyes open, its happy days.

It is generally only worth significantly less if you trade it when its still fairly new, as it ages, it really doesnt matter, as long as its UK spec.

Thanks for that CJ.

The car I've seen is for sale privately but I can see from the photographs it has Motorpoint numberplates.
