Is the clutch change on the 2.4 any harder than the 1.9?

I had a clutch, slave cylinder and labour on my 2009 159 1.9 done for £350 all in at a local clutch specialist.

Thanks for your posts chaps - looked into the parts costs alone (Euro car parts etc) the kit is showing up at around £350 alone so £250 labour seems ok to me - all other comments suggestions welcome..

Theres an adjustment lock that will release once the clutch is about "half-used" *out of words*. This should adjust the clutch so there will be no pedal-feel change.

What I think is that if you dont adjust it this MIGHT not work.

I would think that the flywheel was essential while you are at it. I had the full works done on mine about 3 months ago - it worked out at just over £1,000 inc VAT.

Adam your spot on - just got the call - "need the flywheel too" - local garage looking into cost for me now as they were looking at £1200 incl VAT - just spoke to Afla Workshop £1,000 on the nose incl VAT... bugger...

Just to close the loop on this thread;

Got the car back new clutch kit and flywheel £1k on the nose - as you would expect the car feels new again.

Lesson learned that I now realise that the cars clutch was always a little soft from the day I picked it up so I will always be looking for a "snappy/firm" clutch on any next cars. - is it a bit harsh to think the dealer did or could have spotted this when I got the car late last year?
